CSARN Research Fellowships for Women - Application 2024 is closed

Application guidelines

Background

The Fellowship is offered to eight women from Chin State who wish to carry out research in the following fields: education, gender, food security, humanitarian situation, displacement, sustainable development, and health. This programme is run by the Chin State Academic Research Network (CSARN) a project of TheHILLS Myanmar (THM).

ဤပညာသင် အစီအစဉ်သည် ချင်းပြည်နယ်မှ အမျိုးသမီး (၈) ဦးကို ပညာရေး၊ gender ၊ စားနပ်ရိက္ခာဖူလှုံရေး၊ လူသားချင်းစာနာ ထောက်ထားမှုအခြေအနေ၊ ရွှေ့ပြောင်းနေထိုင်ခြင်း၊ ရေရှည်တည်တံ့သော ဖွံ့ဖြိုးရေး နှင့် ကျန်းမာရေး အစရှိသော နယ်ပယ်များတွင် သုတေသန ပြုလုပ်နိုင်ရန် ပံ့ပိုးပေးသွားမည်ဖြစ်ပါသည်။ ဤအစီအစဉ်ကို THM ၏ စီမံကိန်း တစ်ခုဖြစ်သည့် CSARN မှ ဦးစီးဆောင်ရွက်သွားမည်ဖြစ်ပါသည်။

The general purpose of the fellowship programme is to facilitate capacity building of women in research, to contribute to the development of a new generation of women leaders in Chin State, and to promote their effective participation in community based, regional and global research, advocacy, and decision making.

What the Research Fellowship supports

Fellowship stipend d equal to 6.5 million MMK USD 2,000 per fellow. တစ်ဦးချင်းစီအတွက် ငွေကြေးထောက်ပံ့မှု- ကျပ်ငွေ ၆၅ သိန်း USD 2,000 ပေးသွားမည်။
Participate in 5 days training on research and capacity building in person. သုတေသနနှင့် စွမ်းရည်မြှင့်တင်ခြင်းဆိုင်ရာ ၅ ရက်ကြာ သင်တန်းတွင် ပါဝင်ခွင့် ရရှိမည်။
Fellows will have access to a training and mentoring programme led by regional and international facilitators. ဒေသတွင်းနှင့် နိုင်ငံတကာ ကျွမ်းကျင်သုတေသီများ၏ ပို့ချချက်နှင့် လမ်းညွှန်မှုများ ရရှိမည်။
Two Fellows will be selected for an additional award for 1 month research at partner universities in the South/South East Asia region. Fellows နှစ်ဦးအား တောင်/အရှေ့တောင်အာရှဒေသရှိ မိတ်ဖက်တက္ကသိုလ်များတွင် ၁ လကြာ သုတေသနအတွက် ထပ်ဆောင်းဆုအဖြစ် ရွေးချယ်သွားမည်ဖြစ်သည်။

Timeline

Application period: 16 May 2024 to 21 June 2024 30 June 2024 (လျှောက်လွှာတင်သွင်းခြင်း သတ်မှတ် ကာလ။ ၁၆ မေလ ၂၀၂၄ မှ ၂၁ ဇွန်လ ၂၀၂၄ ၃၀ ဇွန်လ ၂၀၂၄ ခုနှစ်အထိ။
Application evaluation and interview: July-August (လျှောက်လွှာများ စိစစ်ခြင်းနှင့် လူတွေ့မေးမြန်းခြင်း။ ။ ဇူလိုင်လ မှ သြဂုတ်လ ၂၀၂၄ ခုနှစ် အတွင်း။)
Start date: September 2024 (လုပ်ငန်းစတင်မည့် ရက်။ ။ စက်တင်ဘာလ ၂၀၂၄ ခုနှစ်)
Programme duration - 7 months. အစီအစဥ် ကြာမြင့်ချိန်။ ။ ၇ လ သတ်မှတ်ထားသည်။

Eligibility and minimum qualification

Between 20 - 40 years old. အသက် ၂၀ မှ ၄၀ နှစ် အထိ။
Excellent Burmese or English. မြန်မာစာ (သို့) အင်္ဂလိပ် ကျွမ်းကျင်စွာ ရေးတတ်၊ ဖတ်တတ်၊ ပြောတတ်ရပါမည်။
Women from Chin State, holders of Myanmar citizenship. မြန်မာနိုင်ငံသားဖြစ်သူ ချင်းပြည်နယ်မှ အမျိုးသမီးများ။

Application Assessment (လျှောက်လွှာ အကဲဖြတ်ခြင်း)

The fellowships are competitive and selection is based on: ဤပညာသင် အစီအစဉ်သည် ယှဉ်ပြိုင်လျှောက်ထားသူများအကြား အောက်ပါ အချက်များအပေါ် အခြေခံပြီး ယှဉ်ပြိုင် ရွေးချယ်သွားမှာ ဖြစ်သည်။

Profile/CV of the applicant. ကိုယ်ရေးအကျဉ်းချုပ်။
Quality of the application and research proposal. လျှောက်လွှာနှင့် သုသေတန အဆိုပြုလွှာ၏ အရည်းအသွေးကောင်းမွန်မှု။
Interview. လူတွေ့မေးမြန်းခြင်း။

Priority is given to those in Chin State, or in the surrounding region. ချင်းပြည်နယ် သို့မဟုတ် အနီးနားဒေသ မှ လျှောက်ထားသူများကို ဦးစားပေးသည်။
Candidates with at least a Bachelor degree or previous experience in research. အနည်းဆုံး ဘွဲ့ဒီဂရီ သို့မဟုတ် သုတေသနလုပ်ငန်း အတွေ့အကြုံရှိသူဖြစ်ရမည်။

If you are shortlisted, you will be invited for an interview and asked to submit a reference letter (ဦးစားပေး စာရင်းတွင် ပါဝင်လာပါက လူတွေ့မေးမြန်းခြင်း ခေါ်ယူခံရမှာဖြစ်ပြီး၊ ကိုယ့်ကို ထောက်ခံပေးမည့်သူစေက ထောက်ခံစာ တောင်းယူသွားမည် ဖြစ်သည်).

Your proposal should tell us about your areas of interest and your general knowledge of the research topic. You are not expected to be an expert already! However, you need to have a good level of knowledge about the subject, and show us how you might make a good contribution to this topic.

သုသေတန စာတမ်းအဆိုပြုချက် ရေးသားရာတွင် သင်၏စိတ်ဝင်စားမှုနယ်ပယ်နှင့် သက်ဆိုင်သောအကြောင်းအရာများကို အခြေခံ ဗဟုသုတဘယ်လောက်ရှိထားသလဲဆိုတာကို ဖော်ပြသင့်သည်။ မိမိရွေးချယ်ထားသော နယ်ပယ် ခေါင်းစဉ်နှင့် ပတ်သက်၍ အထူးကျွမ်းကျင်သူတစ်ဦးဖြစ်ရန် မလိုအပ်သော်လည်း မိမိစာတမ်းကို အထောက်အကူဖြစ်စေမည့် နည်းလမ်းကောင်းများဖြင့် ရေးသားဖော်ပြရန်လိုအပ်သည်။

Title and Keywords - think of a clear title for your project that explains what it’s about. Consider also writing 4 keywords that describe your proposal. ခေါင်းစဉ်နှင့် အထူးပြုစကားလုံးများ - မိမိဆောင်ရွက်မည့် သုတေသနကို ထင်ဟပ်ဖော်ပြပေးနိုင်မည့် ရှင်းလင်းသောခေါင်းစဉ်တစ်ခုစဉ်းစားပါ။ ၎င်းကို ထင်ဟပ်စေမည့် အထူးပြုစကားလုံးများလည်း ရေးပါ။

Impact Statement - explain what you want to work on and why it is important. What difference/impact will your research make? Background and Context - provide some background information/context of the topic you wish to write about. နောက်ခံသမိုင်းနှင့် အကြောင်းအရာ။ ။မိမိ ရေးသားလိုသည့် ခေါင်းစဉ်၏ နောက်ခံအချက်အလက်/ အကြောင်းအရာများကိုရေးသားဖို့ လိုသည်။

Methodology - how will you collect information and do your research? Will you do desk research (reports, news and articles, etc.) or do you wish to do field research (interviews, surveys, etc?) သုတေသန နည်းနာ။ ။ သုတေသနရေးသားပြုစုရာတွင် မည်သို့သော နည်းနာ အသုံးပြုမည်ကို ရေးသားဖော်ပြပါ။ ဥပမာ - ထုတ်ဝေပြီးသား စာရွက်စာတမ်းများ ခွဲခြမ်းစိတ်ဖြာခြင်း သို့မဟုတ် ကွင်းဆင်းအချက်အလက်သစ် စုဆောင်းခြင်း (အင်တာဗျူးများ၊ စစ်တမ်းများ)

Risk - identify any risks you think there may be for you in carrying out research in Myanmar right now. The risks can be direct (to yourself) or indirect (to your family, colleagues, etc.). How will you mitigate these risks? လက်ရှိမြန်မာနိုင်ငံတွင် သုတေသနရေးသားပြုစုရာတွင် မိမိကိုယ်တိုင် သို့မဟုတ် မိသားစုအသိုင်းအဝန်းအား နောက်ဆက်တွဲ ဆိုးကျိုးသက်ရောက်နိုင်ချေရှိပါက ရေးသားဖော်ပြပါ။ နောက်ဆက်တွဲ ဆိုးကျိုးများအား လျော့နည်းအောင် လုပ်ဆောင်မည့် အစီအမံများ ဖော်ပြပါ။
