TheHILLS Myanmar is proud to make its contribution towards Gender Equality in Chin State. For the past few years, the organisation has been working with some key partners to provide research fellowships for young women from Chin State. Fellows are selected via a competitive process led by an expert committee. Fellowships include a research stipend, training, and mentoring with international experts, alongside possibility to fund conference/events attendance. 

Training is provided to awardees, focused on both research methods as well as gender awareness and communications skills. A mentor is assigned to each fellow. Both activities aim to facilitate women reaching positions of equal social and political influence.
